This is a fantastic hotel – well above its current 3* stars rating (it is only 3* because they don’t currently have a lift but they are planning to install one). It should be at least 4* stars. The owners are lovely and welcoming. They really try to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room we had (on the first floor with balcony on the slopes side) was clean and fresh, with a great shower bathroom. Lots of warm woods make a nice chalet atmosphere. It is simply decorated but with lots of charm and the bed is really comfortable 🙂 One tiny issue is that the doors are not very heavy – so in the morning, you can hear the people in the corridor. It was not a problem for us as we were getting up early to go skiing. We had a brilliant time in the newly built spa – lovely pool – and you can also book spa treatment (lovely legs massage after a day of intense skiing 🙂 The food is fantastic! The breakfast buffet is well furnished and very good quality. Maybe the hot breakfast plate could be bigger, especially if you are going out for day skiing and need some energy. But I am sure we could have asked for second (we did not because the buffet was great and we wanted to try everything!)The dinner (we had dinner once at the hotel) was simply delicious! High quality and the presentation of the food is to a star restaurant standard. The bar area is lovely and it is great for after-ski as the canopy roof can be open if the weather is nice.If you are going there for the ski season, the hotel is ideally placed – ski-in and ski-out. And the ski room has ski boots heater to dry them over nigh – no wet feet!I would definitively recommend this hotel and I am already looking at an other booking for next year ski season.
