Which data, for what purpose, and for how long?
You write to us (contact form, quote request)
- Data : name, contact details, message, planned dates
- Purpose : to answer your request
- Legal basis : your request, before any contract
- Retention : 6 months for the copy kept on the website; 3 years after our last exchange for our email exchanges
You book online
- Data : identity, contact details, dates, room, special requests; payment details entered on Reservit’s secure platform
- Purpose : to manage your booking and stay
- Legal basis : the contract
- Retention : the length of the relationship, then archiving; accounting records: 10 years
You receive our offers by email
- Data : email address, name, language, past stays
- Purpose : to send you our offers and news
- Legal basis : your consent, given by ticking the box provided for this purpose when you book
- Retention : 3 years after your last contact with us; unsubscribe link in every email
You open the quote or contact page
- Data : technical data, including your IP address, sent to Google
- Purpose : to protect our forms against bots (Google reCAPTCHA, loaded on these two pages only)
- Legal basis : our legitimate interest
- Retention : as per Google’s policy
You display the access map or a video
- Data : technical data sent to Google or YouTube
- Purpose : to display this content
- Legal basis : your consent
- Retention : as per Google
You accept audience measurement
- Data : pages viewed and interactions with the website, where the visit came from, device and browser type, approximate location, a random identifier stored in a cookie
- Purpose : to understand how the website is used and improve it (Google Analytics)
- Legal basis : your consent, given in the cookie banner; without it, nothing is sent to Google
- Retention : up to 14 months for measurement data at Google; 6 months for the cookie stored on your device
- Withdrawing your consent : at any time, using the “Change my choices” link on the Cookies page
Who receives your data?
Hotel staff who need it, and our providers, each for their own part: the website host, o2switch, Reservit for bookings, Google for our email (Google Workspace), form protection, maps and, if you accept it, audience measurement (Google Analytics), Brevo for delivering the emails sent by the website (messages from our forms), Mailchimp for sending our offers, and the agency in charge of maintaining the website. We never sell or rent your data.
Is your data transferred outside the European Union?
Some Google services may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Mailchimp, which sends our emails, processes your data in the United States: this transfer is covered by the same Data Privacy Framework and by the standard contractual clauses included in its contract.
Your rights
You may access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, in particular to receiving offers, at any time and without giving a reason, ask for its portability, withdraw your consent and set instructions for after your death. Write to us at info@crychar.com or to the hotel’s address: we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
